MOLODIST International Film Festival


The first festival was organized in 1970. It was two days long and consisted of 33 student films exclusively from Kyiv National Institute of Theatrical Arts.

Currently Molodist international film festival is considered to be the one of the main cultural events in our country. It is the only Ukrainian festival certified by the International Federation of Film Producers Associations – FIAPF, 26 specialized international competition festivals.

The goal of the festival is contribution to development of young professional filmmakers, both mainstream and experimental. Hence, the young filmmakers, particularly Ukrainian, have a chance to join a world filmmaking.

Together with Molodist, their first steps into the world of great cinema were taken by Fred Kelemen, Tom Tykwer, Francois Ozon, András Monori, Aleksei Balabanov, Denis Yevstigneyev, Alexander Rodnyansky, Stephen Daldry, Denny Boyle, Ildiko Odiar, Sergii Masloboishykov, Bruno Dumont, Alan Berliner, Ivana le Moin, Aleksei German-Junior, Sergei Loznitsa, Eva Neymann, Myroslav Slaboshpytskyi, Oleg Sentsov, Aleksandr Rogozhkin, Yuri Mamin, Sergii Bukovskyi, Iraklii Kvirikadze.
